Administration of Department is under the The Head of Human Resources and Administration. The department has a major role of   providing advice on human resources management and administration matters, providing strategic inputs on human resources and administration matters such as recruitment, promotions, discipline, retention, motivation, performance management, staff welfare and human resources development. 

Moreover, other crucial roles the department performs are as follows:

·         Oversee proper implementation of Public Service Act, Regulations; Standing Orders and other Labour laws;

·         Maintain and update employees' records and benefits (social security benefits, allowance etc.) and entitlements;

·         Facilitate employee relations and welfare including health, safety, sports and culture;

·         Provide registry, office records, messenger and courier services, security services, transport and general utilities;

·         Facilitate general custody service and maintenance;

·         Coordinate Implementation of ethics and value promotion activities including corruption prevention education;

·         Facilitate orientation/Induction programs for the new entrants;

·         Administer salary and payroll processing; Coordinate implementation of Employees' Performance Appraisals, Client Service Charter and performance improvement programs;

·         Oversee services related to separation from the service (retirement resignation, etc.);

·         Serve as a Secretariat to management meetings;

·         Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all office furniture's, fittings and equipment;

·         Coordinate repairs and maintenance of motor vehicles, machines, equipment, furniture's and office buildings;

·         Undertake various types of civil engineering/building works; and Advice the management on Issues related to maintenance and repair of buildings.
